Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The B.E.A.S.T. 1 2006 *amhyrules lucksacks, takes 1st*

What's up with Match 1? And I think if only Luca is still active in match 9 he should win his match...But can we know what the problems are with these matches?

Sami has had Regionals and exams, and his opponent hasn't been online at the same time. I know Sami has been online because I have talked to him. If there are no results by the end of tomorrow I will draw a random winner. luca and SpyRevenge have until then too, to play their match, if no results are presented then luca wins cos he's been most available.

Sorry everyone for the delay.

Hmm, it would be bad if the decision whether Plaf (if I calculated right he has a tiebreaker of over 70% and I don't think anyone else will top that) or badganondorf will make the t4 cut is based on a coin flip :( but if it must be so, it must be so. But if my calculations are correct and Plaf will be into top 4 if badganondorf loses and badganondorf will be in top 4 if he wins from sami, and sami and badganondorf can't find the time to play, maybe you can set a quick match between badganondorf and Plaf, if both players agree with that ofcourse, to determine who's going through to top 4? Just a suggestion, may be too hard too pull off, but I think it'd be better than just determine it on a coin flip :)

I will be going outta town tomorrow, so I will just check briefly tomorrow evening to see if there is any result from sami & co. And if there are none, then I roll I die and post Top 4. I haven't got time to do it any other way.

Thank you Erik, I received your e-card ^_^
And with the prof. test today I only had 35 out of 40 (88%). Well at least it's enough .

Let's hope they have time for the match and if I not make it to the Top 4 that's ok, it was great participating in this tournament . I think I won't participate in BEAST II, but will continue playing regular apprentice matches when I got the time. Good luck ya all :thumb:

Matthijs, this was the last round before the top 4 cut, so unless you have a tiebreaker higher than 72% the tournament is finished for you (you can calculate this by looking up how many matches all your opponents have won, multiply those numbers for each opponent with 20% (so if one of your opponents has won 3 matches in total that will make 60%), adding those percentages to each other than divide by 5. So if your first round till last round opponents have won 1, 3, 2, 3, 4 matches in total respectively, that will make ((1*20%)+(3*20%)+(2*20%)+(3*20%)+(4*20%))/5= (20%+60%+40%+60%+80%)/5=260/5 = 52%. Jeroen (PlaF) has a tiebreaker of 72%, and only one 3-2 player can possibly go through to top 4).

Top 4 has been announced!!

(Let me know if you see anything wrong, calculations have been done manually since my harddrive crashed...)

We didn't play the match because Sami didn't appear to MSN at the same time, but we'll be playing now against each other again =D

Good Luck in the Top 4 you 4 !!

1 question Simon, did they finish the match or did you roll a die ?

They didn't finish, so I decided a random winner with Rainbowgym. I send a file with a number in to her via MSN, but before she accepted the download I asked her to pick a number between 1-10, and wth a match (both odd or even) Sami would win and with a non-match, Sami would loose. So you can guess the outcome.

Erik, thanks.
I had to type that message very fast because I was in an internetcafé, and my time was running out :p

Good Luck to the rest of you guys!

I will do a more complete final standings when I have time to do the math.

Top 4 will start as soon as amhyrules and Type O negative have submitted their deck-lists for a check. If you see them, tell them to hurry up, ship me the deck-lists for control and get busy playing. And maybe I will be nice and trade my sponsored boosters to Holon Phantom boosters, if they rather want that.
