Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The future of pokemon...

I hope they do not plan for 5th gen to add new types. I think they should expand the 17 types they have now by adding more variaty to the pool. It will take away some of the OU abuse down a notch.
If they do add new types, what will it be? Plastic and rubber? I think that type combinations need to be supported more to add more options for battle configuarations.

when u fly and dig, there should be something like a 3-d game where u dodge stuff in the air or underground. so if u fly across the whole map or 2 a new region, it takes longer to get there. it's to unrealistic to just be able to spoop across the map in one second.
also less legendaries.

this actually sounds pretty cool to have a minigame in the air/ground. although it could get annoying sometimes...

They should make a trading card game for the DS just like had back when I was a kid it was so much fun.
That sounds like a fun idea. Although I would hope if they did that that you would be able to put in the number of the individual card and in a sense "upload" the cards you have in person so you can imitate your real life deck similar to the Yugioh games.

Glad to see all the ideas in here. Some real good ones.
@pokemon trainer char- back in the day, they had the e-reader that you swiped a card and it put info into the game.
that could work nice with the card game- swipe the card, make your deck, and practice/play -
Now lets hear some more ideas!

Okay, didn't read all of the posts, but did skim. Not sure if another evo for Magikarp was thought about yet. I feel like Magikarp instead of having a Flying and Water evo. I think that it should evolve into a Dragon/Water Pokemon. Having like same base stats as Gyarados, but all in the SA. A opposite or Gyarados kinda. I just really think Magikarp is like the most hated Pokemon ever, even with it's awsome evolution Gyarados. It's still good as a Magikarp. Give it some EV's. A Focus Band, then just use Flail for a lot. I find it a nice idea though.

^magicarp (imo) is not the most hated pokemon- dunsparce is!(imo)
Dunsparce needs an injection of steriods or something- it realy is a sad pokemon that can defeat a magicarp, but loses big time for not being able to evolve.

Think back to Ruby/Sapphire days - dunsparce was a beast.
Strike and Run was stupid broken.

^ ahhh, the good old days. I remember that. But still, Dunsparce could use an evolution,(imo)- something that will make Garchamp want to run and hide.......

...dunsparce is amazing i have no idea what you're talking about. It has serene Grace and it gets headbutt rockslide and thunderwave. You've got yourself a NU Togekiss there.

I was thinking about 5th gen, and the Wii- I think it would be cool if the ds and the Wii communicated the story line. The ds will be your menu and controller, while the Wii made the 5th gen game the over world/landscape into the 3d map. Your characture will walk around the game, battles will be 3d- on the spot- wild pokies will be roaming. The ds will support the full game, just that a Wii disc will allow the game to display the 3d part on your tv. That would make the game a real revolution in the area for having a ds pokemon game that can be played stand alone or connect to the Wii and play the game in 3d to display the game as a real world environment. And you can battle friends like you do in Revolution as well.
