its about both and what about including roselia to increase the longevity. it gives you time to set up if you need it and gives your opponent something else to deal with while you reset your lineup, plus the up to twenty damage removed between turns. that should make energy roots much more reliable for size.

In my most recent post above I was speaking about LunaSol as a 1-1 tech. As an entire deck based around it then yeah Energy Roots are great. Sorry if I confused someone. Even if you do shut off one Lunatone/Solrock's PokeBody, you prolly have more sitting around to keep the lock up anyways.

Free retreat for benched Solrocks is kind of pointless anyway when the active Lunatone with the energy root attachment is going to be knocked out in a turn or two, especially (like you said Gengar) when there's another Lunatone on the bench to spread the body :lol: Also, maybe lots of energy root/buffer piece is the only way to prevent from being ohko'ed by a chimchar that has suddenly become an Infernape with DRE attached.. Assuming they don't happen to have a Pluspower or two. heh

I've seen it played with 2-3 Lickitung d's to increase its flygon d ex/delta matchup. Overall its a very decent deck still imo.

Providing that Chimchar didn't scratch you first before evolving and the opponent didn't have a Plus Power, a Lunaton with DRE can't OHKO Lunatone with Energy Root (of course, reverse the above scenario and you have how I got donked in my last BR match, lol).
