this deck should be called kricketballs or just balls, lol
Heh, thanks!
Since it's now active, I think I'll revise my list later tonight as well and see if I can't make it better.
Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:
Ok, I went ahead and made some changes for Kricketune'd version 3:
1. Dropped the Carnivine idea/deck tech. It just wasn't working for me, and I agree that simple 4/4 is better and more consistent.
Don't be ashamed at how awful it was, that's how we progress as players. Better to propose a poor idea and progress than not at all!
2. Dropped ER2 down to 3 in favor of maxing Night Maintenance and your chance to draw it when needed.
It would seem to be a much needed card, adn you have the space. So I agree.
3. Dropped the 3 TV Reporter in favor of Island Hermit. Island Hermit is superior in this deck imo because if you have a Kricketot or Kricketune prized, you're in serious trouble regarding the maximum damage you can do. By having Island Hermit, you can at least have a chance of guessing which Prize could be a Kricketot/Tune in the event one is prized, and since you're running 3 you will be able to flip all of your prizes face-up. And it's still +2 for Draw.
Hmmm... As you're starting with one then that's close to 0.3 tots prized and 1.5 tunes prized. 0.7 tots/tunes due to one being ensured out as a starter. I'm not convinced sacrificing a supporter is justified, BUT a lone one as a tech is awesome.
When you search, you count the kriks in your hand and deck to work out how many are prized (which you should be doing ANYWAY as a good player). If 2 or more are prized, you can always grab hermit with your castaway or scott sometime. If experience proves 1 not to be enough then add more but 3 seems extreme!!
4. Revised the strategy part a bit to make it simpler to read. And ditching references of Carnivine.
If you wanted you could correlate ideas from the members onto the first post too.
I have Professor Rowan for that. Copycat is dependent on your Opponent's hand size to work successfully, and from what I've noticed so far, hand sizes aren't quite as large as they were last season. So with Rowan, you get to keep 1 card while shuffling your hand and drawing 4 more; it's a guaranteed bet.^Or maybe list possibilities, you know so people can choose from.
Copycat is very useful after burning off search cards like fast ball as the deck is more saturated and you are losing few cards. Essentially it's a prof. oak in decks like these. You lose out then, or a simple mentor could be just what you need for the extra damage.

The mentioned lati variation sounds more solid. The chance to take down heavy hitters is much greater. The lines,
4-4 Tune
2 Latios ex d
2 Latias ex d
1 Latias d
BTW MABYE YOU sHOULD CALL THIS DECK LUIGI!!!Its another new haymaker out of DP and the main pkmn is grass!(green)And doesn't tune have a mustache??
Of course, it's dependant on how the format develops. What is your opinion that copycat is worthwhile against a delcatty player? Even if they constrain then play cards you still get worthwhile draw.
No Dual Ball? I think you should play 4 of them too.

You bump my thread just to advertise yours?
