Turn 2 Kricketune'd

Problem w/ that is the D/P rules. No Trainers T1, meaning open w/ a Latios going 1st, you can't get the T2 Kricketune, and speed is def. the priority here. If you could just Great Ball the Kricketot, attach, retreat and evolve next turn then that'd work.

Beach is interesting, it certainly will help at times, its not like you can just pull a Windstorm out of thin air lol, but then the question is where to draw the line with disruption. I sometimes think with the whole Cess/Stone etc V. Windstorm format the clever play is to maximise consistancy and just not run either. Something like this here deck can do that perfectly.

ah yes, i forgot bout the new rules lol. i will try it pure kricket, but i fear it wil mulligan looooads :frown:

i think cess is the play here- lock them early, without their powers to set up. the problem with the kricket is his inability to deal with anything with a large health that does close to 100 (i can't remember his health) a turn. a powered flygon ex for example, with flygon d benched and his power fully functioning, would pretty much end kricket's chances.

kricket has speed, cessation gives him longevitiy imo.

well Cursed Stone is going to get rotated out now so Crystal Beach might be the right stadium to play... just an idea why not tech in a 1-1 Mantine from MT and maybe 2 Lake Boundary it will help against Ape since you can attach a DRE to Mantine if it is evolved from Mantyke and a plus power for a ohko... also you won't have to pay energy to retreat since Mantine's body reduces the retreat cost of water pokemon by 2 if it is evolved.

what grammer is that?

This is how it should be: Also you won't have to pay energy

That's my 2 cents

crystal beach is alright but even we play DRE. SO then the beach kills us. I mean you could take out the DRE, that could be a good idea, but somehow I don't agree with that.

We should really play TG Bet, playtesting shows that works, and Cessation, with Castaway searching for both, thats enough disruption

Crystal Beach will be a good play.
It will not "kill us".
If you want to use your own DRE, then don't play C. Beach that game.. -_-

then leave a dead card in your deck for an entire game and draw it when you are looking for an s. charm or something to that effect. And if you do that play only 2 beach, go find room for that and then try to find it when you actually want it to disrupt. Kill is a strong word sure, but it is bad card advantage and poor card choice for a deck

there is actually little room for the all those trainers, in reality we can only reall play quick ball and master ball.

ardoptres - its a metagame call if a lot of local decks thrive off of the DRE or Castform, play it, it just seems like a lot of room is needed for the deck working and disruption is limited.

crystal beach won't work in hear.

4- quick Ball
4- Great ball
has worked for me.

also I am going to put in some team galactic wagers for disruption because if I get all my kricketunes and kricketots out so fast than the hand disruption won't hurt us as much as it will hurt them + if we mull a lot we can hurt them even more by flushing away those mulligan cards early

yea, spreading damage is really popular. but this deck is so fast that it doesn't matter. + when someone kills my Kricketunes, I night Maintenance and then great ball or quick ball, or Celios, or mentor. you can do the same thing with the latios and latias, and that is if you run them. I run cessation crystal and castaways

There are 2 problems that i see with the kricketune deck.

1) Mulligans
2) If your opponent mangages to last longer like having a stage 2 pokemon like infernape or machamp for example. Then kricketunes chances of winning are very slim since most stage 2s can easily take down an 80 HP pokemon like kricketune and kricketune can only 2HKO most stage 2 pokemon.

Basically what im saying is Kricketune needs to hitem hard and fast before the stage 2 pokemon come out. I think regis neo you need to have a matchup list of how kricketune fares against different decks.

Well, mulligans are inevitable given the nature of the deck. I'd personally like to put in some TG's Bet, but I'm still working on that to counter the effects of mulliganing so much.

And the problem with match-ups are that, really, there aren't many known decks in HP-On. You have Mario and maybe Infernape, but there really isn't a solid list for much else...
