Mid Atlantic Regionals 4/14, Claymont, DE

Couldn't find any pictures in the links totoro gave us. What does the place look like? Do they got restaurant tables (like at DE States last year :lol: )? Are there any places to eat near the tournament venue?
 
Yeah there is a burger king, and a McDonalds fairly close to Archmere Academy.(It is up the road and i suggest you drive since it is not exactly friendly walking distance.) see you guys there.

It's a school, so I assume that the seating will be good.
 
I am not sure i was told someone is looking into it about whether there will be door prizes.

Totoro, the phone number you've listed is to the college and not Dorian. The operator told me that she does not work there. Through the operator, I was sent to the Activities office, who is a different person, but got that person's voice mail. I'm hoping they call me back with info, but is there another way to reach Dorian? She hasn't answered my e-mail yet. There's a lot of blanks for this tournament on my flyer, which I need to have done by Thursday night.

I'm looking for:
*places to eat and their distances
*door prizes
*side events
*notes on parking (since it is a college, is there a specific lot to look for)
 
Yeh, this is sad imo. I think that the PTO's should of done a better job of planning these events so that NY and DE which IMO are the 2 closest regionals didnt fail on the same day. I am sure that the PTO's might of been stuck with a certian date due to the venue but eh. I also want to say that maybe it is a bigger conspircy and PUI/POP is just trying to mess with our minds, but of course they never do it on purpose, RIGHT?? :tongue:

Here we go again.
Totoro is on staff for this event, which means that the Southeast regionals also had to be planned around, in addition to the one going on in NY if Dorian was to do it your way, TheDarkTwins. Looking at POP's website, the 14th and 21st are the only dates for this series. For Dorian to plan around NY, NC would have to be planned around Delaware. It wouldn't surprise me to hear that Jeff (NC) and Heidi (FL) planned events around each other. If those events were on the same day, then people would probably be saying the same thing about Jeff and Heidi as you are about Tom and Dorian. Maybe Heidi didn't like the 21st for her event; Jeff didn't like the 14th for his; Dorian didn't like the 21st for hers; or Tom didn't like the 21stfor his. Point is that there are only 2 days to pick from. That the PTOs "should have done a better job of planning these events" is expecting a lot.

Maybe we should look into events that go from Saturday 12AM (midnight) to Saturday 6 am? 4 hours might be able to get you to the next closest event if it starts at Saturday 10am? Could you get 8 Juniors and Seniors for a midnight-6am event?
