Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Mid Atlantic Regionals 4/14, Claymont, DE

All answers I've received are more or less "no" to that question. I hear there are a number of places along the Philidelphia turnpike, but I think they are all fast food. A WaWa might have sandwiches.

Pizza will be ordered and sold by the slice at lunch time.

Drew: You seem to think that travel is a one way thing: New York area players going south to NJ/PA/DE or north to New England.
But what about NJ/PA/DE players heading up north to the New York Regional?
Those players won't be going up there, they'll be going to the DE Regional.

So why on earth would any PTO want to limit their attendance at any event on purpose?
It would be cutting off his nose to spite his face for the MA PTO to purposefully cause a conflict with the Mid Atlantic Regionals. It just cuts his own attendance down, too.

Nope, I just don't see it.

That is basically what I said, but I didnt include all those Facts. I agree with what TJ's is doing. I would most likely do the samething.

Drew evidently it is easier to complain rather than try to understand... There are a LOT of factors that go into setting dates (location availability, other PTO's running Regionals close by, etc, etc, etc). Have you asked Dorian why she chose the date ??? Rather than complain and make assumptions why not ask her. There were two weekends to choose from and guaranteed someone isn't going to be happy no matter what you do (your posts are a perfect example). You have been to Mass before for Regionals so at least that is an additional option for you (versus I am sure some players will only have one option).

Let's jump on me because people didnt really understand what I was saying.

Let me try explain this 1 last time. I really am not trying to argue or am I upset. I am getting upset because people are taking my statements and twisting them completely out of control.

1st - Would I rather have DE and NY Regionals on the same day. No, I dont. But I understand exactly what happens when you book this venues. A bunch of things go into it. Is the Venue is available, Is there another Regional that conflicts with yours. What dates are you actually available.

2nd - I personally understand 100% why they are the same day. Am I frustration that I have to find a way to go to the 2nd Regional in MA that is an Xtra 2-3 hours away. Sure, who wouldnt be. Do I complete understand why It is that way YES I do. I wasnt really complain just airing out my frustrations. There is a difference. I personally love playing the game. I just dont like having to get up at 4 AM to get to a 9-10am Event.

3rd - I will always or almost always go to the events I can. I am more willing to travel for Regionals then For States. I would have a bigger problem if all 5 States around my area were on the same day then if all the regionals are on the same day.

I personally dont feel like being attacked anymore and I clearly know what happens behind the scenes. I have a bunch of common sense. I really dont like being treated by people on this thread like I am a complete moron.

I agree! It's hard enough toget up for 10:30am classes, and those are tues/thurs. Expecting us to be up at 4-6am on a Saturday to get to a 9-10am event is asking a lot. When I told the carpool group that we're leaving town by 6:30am, all the parents were like "yeah, right, you all awake at 6:30am?"

Some of us don't usually get to bed until 4am

Drew this is my last post for this...Unless you personally talked to both Tom Shea and Dorian I really doubt you know why for sure. Also Tom is running two so it would be real hard to do both on the same day (I am more proned to believe it was due to that vs trying to increase his MA numbers...kind of hard being in two places at once).

I was not attacking you versus trying to explain that there are a lot of factors that a PTO has to consider when setting the date. As PokePop pointed out this will affect both Dorian and Tom since theirs is on the same day. The PTO's do the best they can and definitely want to get as many players as they can for any Premier Event (especially one of this caliber). If you take this as an attack then that is your choice...enough said on this subject...

hehe, its tomorrow!! :D just so ya know, we are comming. unless jonathan just reminded me its tomorrow for fun... (which wouldn't make any sense at all!!)
