Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Mountain West Regionals - Colorado Springs - 4/8/06

Remember anyone going to Mountain West Regionals should be prepared to stay late! We intend to get started by opening the doors at 9:00 however like our previous championship events we do expect a late night ending as always. We strongly recommend you reserve hotel accomdations while you can!

Hey Chris I like how you and I are heating up the HTS-CFS rivalry and we wont even be playing in the event.

Hey dude, you started it!

Well if we can't play against eachother, maybe we can have some judging rivalry...

We lost two of our lead judges. I'll be making final arrangements this weekend with Dwayne about the judging staff.

Like Craig said, it will be a long day for some. We plan on starting the playoffs after Dinner, hopefully by 6pm. We'll have a tentative schedule up on game day.

Anyone know where I could get some of those blank decklists to be used for Regionals.

I think the whole deck-check process could run much more smoothly if players could fill out their decklist beforehand.

Yeah Adrian, you're promoted. Here's the final staff list unless something happens:

"The buck stops here" - POP Rep - Pete DeShaw

"The Top Dog" - PTO - Dwayne Simmons

Tournament Head Judge - Steve Perucca

15+:
Head Judge - Adrian Montoya
Asst Judge - Chris Meier

11-14:
Head Judge - Andrea Sergent
Asst Judge - Anders Johnson

10-under:
Head Judge - Cathy Lizzarago
Asst Judge - Luke Clements

Registration and TOM:
Head Judge - Patricia McCann
Asst Judge - Brian Roybal
Registration Helpers - Wayne and Tonya Cunningham

Side Events:
Craig Simpson

Also, all age-category judges will be doing deck checks. More helpers will be added as needed.

There will be a 730am staff meeting on Sat, Apr 8, at the motel. BE THERE!

Dwayne might be supplying Staff T-shirts. Notify Dwayne ASAP if your shirt size is anything other than XL.

New News concerning the Colorado Colosseum Extreme GBA Pokemon side event. I have decided to continue to simulate the Journey Across America experience by collecting the top two winners game paks however since I do not have the resources that Pokemon USA has I will be having to inspect the winning game paks for five weeks and you should receive them back by May 12th.

;p

But my PAA stop is on May 6th, what to do, what to do?

Happy Fools day, Craig.

Quick Question

:UPDATE:
I surfed on over to the official POP website and found a tournament rules document that listed 2 on 2 battle as a "Fun" format. I am aware that the Regionals will be played using the "Modified" format, so I answered my own question. LOL! Sorry if I bothered anyone
:::::::::

I have never played with POP, and I have a quick question about regionals.

Is it going to be 2 vs. 2 battles or the standard 1?

I am from Colorado Springs. Lived here all my life, lol!
I have been stopping by Dwyane's shop almsot every day this past week to get some boosters because all my cards are pretty much from Base, Jungle, and Fossil Sets...due to some inactivity for a few years. But now I'm back and ready to play/learn. I'm so excited about Regionals!!!

Welcome to the 'Gym PunkMonkey. Most of the folks that you have read blabbing on this thread are the PTOs / TOs / LLs / and Judges from the Colorado and Wyoming area. We will all be at the Regionals on the 8th. Hope your deck is ready.

5 more days!!!

I recommend everyone come prepared with their decklists aready filled out. During Registration, you'll be required to turn in a decklist signed by a deck checker in order to register. Registration will run from 830-1000am, so don't be late. We'll allow late players to register AFTER 1000am, BUT they'll receive a 1st round loss. So don't wait until the last minute to fill out your decklist.
