I know Ross S won NE/Hull SPT in Seniors. He certainly qualified from it.

We need the other info from Ace Gaming, as some people don't know if they qualified from drop-down places. Unless I've missed it somewhere, which is entirely possible :S

Think, think, think...

Out of the top 8, the people who hadn't alreaady qualified were:
Me (Ryan Tur)
Emma Bruce
Dom Jordan
Irwin (forgot last name)

I don't really remember who the qualifications passed down to. Oh yeah, one person I remember:
Stuart Wright.

That's all I can remember for now. I might get some more another day.

Sorry that's wrong - I have said I will post - best wait for the TO to do so !! _ as I have the 8 qualified players here in front of me but I have to upload tourneys frst contact TPfG and other admin first!

I got a qualifying place passed down to me. Michael Leversha.

No idea how I'm going to get to Woburn though. I doubt I'll have money for the train, so I'll be badgering people for a lift this Saturday.

I seem to be slightly active here again... it's been a while, serebii.net just didn't cut it on the card front.

Recognised a few people already on here - Ryan Tur, and Dom Jordan. Ryan will know me, but Dom probably won't remember me. I think he may have had a Bandoom deck I played against (and won :p) in a friendly as we were waiting for the T8. Then again, that may have been someone else.

Evens

You'll all do well to beat the new SD "Chess" though - no autolosses, good matchups v. Flygon, Destiny AND Metanite...

I now can't make it to Bournemouth either, hopefully I can get to crewe though :)

Yey, Crewe's awesome!

So is Chess a techy sort of deck like Destiny or more of a structured deck like Metanite? I'm a little sceptical of new flashy SDs personally, because as I see it, there are only so many playable cards and playable strategies; and so it surely can't be THAT format-breaking. I'll be thinking through, Chess is DX-PK right?

EDIT: Hmmmm.... It's nothing to do with Gardevoir or Shiftry is it? They just sort of make sense as energy acceleration, power negation and heavy, fast damage. As Flygon, Metanite and Destiny are based around their bodies and powers it just popped into my head. Nah I'm likely off track; I'll leave you to it.

I'm sure there is a format breaking deck out there. I just can't figure out what it is :( Im still trying to make a playable deck that consistantly beats rai-eggs.

Irwin had already qualified at High Wycombe

As for chess, it's a secret for a reason lol.

If there was a format-breaking deck, then there would be another deck that beats THAT deck.

Anyway, as for anti-raieggs, there's many options. Some are clear, some are more complex such as spreading damage yourself so they can't scramble. Raieggs itself can adapt to these, such as reducing the scramble count, but generally I'd think Lickitung delta is the best play along with a pokémon that can KO everything in the deck (Dragonite ex d is neat for this and he has that fantastic first attack!!). A good way is rather than make your deck raieggs-killer, make it raieggs-resistant, so they can't trample over you. Metals, 100HP (w/o power) or others to avoid OHKOs are also useful. Windstorms are obviously essential lol.

Hope that gave a little insight :thumb: .

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Chess, it's a secret for a reason lol.

I'll stick to the board game chess, and the music album chess

I have various suspicions of cards that aren't being used enough but just look good. When a set's released, I usually have no idea about actually building a deck, but I can see cards that have that x factor and end up good in decks. Good luck with it Kempley.

*has a massive grin*

Since I started at the PK prerelease, I've loved that card. Was in my first draft deck - the one I came second with in my first draft. And I only narrowly selected my Kingdra ex deck over it for regionals.

Lovely to get something noticed though.
