Mewtwo EX; Believe the hype

There would be nothing to combat Reshiram EX, and Mewtwo with energy acceleration beats Mewtwo without energy acceleration. If you ran 3-4 Terrakion though, you could give Magnezone and Zekrom EX one huge headache.

From this post I can conclude that you have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to the new set coming out, Next Destinies. I am sorry, but Reshiram and Zekrom EX are the least of your worries. They will be the least played EX's, played as 1 or 2 of copies in Reshiphlosion as well as Zekrom/Eelektrik, and I pray for whoever decides to run those decks in a Mewtwo based format.

6 Corners isn't a "deck". It's a toolbox. Much like how SP was able to switch out attackers for the metagame, 6 Corners will do the same. It will incorporate whatever fits the players current metagame, although like I previously stated, the decks focus will now be taking quick prizes as opposed to drawing out games and forcing your opponent to misplay. Mewtwo will come fast and hit hard. Then other cards will assist.

correct me if im wrong but isnt mewtwo ex owning japanese meta right now? if i remember correctly there is at least 1-2 copies of him in almost every deck that top cuts (that ive seen) so people that are predicting him to be BCIF/BDIF have a lot of validity behind what they say. and im completly behind the hype train because there is a lot of coal to fire them engines WOOT WOOT!!!!

proof of this so called meta being owned by mewtwo ex

No you will either run it or lose

Ugh, I get reallyyy sick of seeing posts on the 'Gym like this.

I mean really? You're being absolute on a card that hasn't even come out yet? This isn't biased at all by the way because I do believe it will be a format altering card, but I do not approve of posts like this acting all sure and snotty like this.

Either run it or not. I'm sure that plenty of good players will find ways to run without Mewtwo in the future when even more testing has been done.

No it has a bad one for so many noobs, scrubs and bad players lol

Well, if the EX mechanic has returned, then surely it is safe to assume that the Safeguard ability will also be returning? Whilst this may only hinder Mewtwo ex slightly (Multiple reasons, Catcher & the fact that Mewtwo will most likely have a non-ex partner) it will definitely prevent people steamrolling with mono-Mewtwo, and force them to use their catchers. Mewtwo may easily become the BDIF, but it won't be unbeatable, this may sound very odd, but I have faith in P!P, and I don't think they would dump these 170HP basics on us without some way of stopping them.

MagneBoar and ReshiBoar would like a word.

Especially because Rocky Helmet is quite helpful vs. Mewtwo.

And the fact that you think ReshiPhlosion will still be played is absurd.

But I guess this is coming from a person who thinks that Mewtwo is the next Haymaker.

Getting on the hype train is what makes the 'Gym look scrubby. Don't start hype threads. It's bad for the image of Pokegym.

Anyone building significant hype towards Mewtwo is probably one of the fools who pre-ordered a set.

Let them have their fun, at the end of the day our image is already screwed up enough.

Looking forward to seeing how Mewtwo Ex handles Seismitoad / Wigglytuff swarm.

Edit: A buddy of mine mentioned that Magnezone will kill Mewtwo for 4 energy, making it 2 energy per prize. That is a good price per prize card. I'm not saying Mewtwo isn't all that, but what I am saying is that let's not put all our eggs in one basket.

Easily. Thought long and hard about that deck, but can it have 5 Stage 1's and a Stage 2 out by the second turn?

Optimal status. I don't see why it can't get pretty darned close. It's not really a rocket scientist of a deck to build.

Why would you not put all your eggs into one basket? You'd have to not only buy a new basket but also carry more than one basket? That's just ridiculous if you ask me.

Not sure if serious...

You know, it is foolish to speak in absolutes when we have a history of getting "tweaked" sets that result in a different metagame from the Japanese state.

First off: lololol @ Round decks.
Second off: How come I have this feeling the only reason Mewtwo EX will see play is to counter other Mewtwo EXs? Ah, I hate things.

Alright, let's all make an agreement here and now: Nobody is to play Mewtwo-EX so that nobody needs to counter it. Problem solved!
