Next rotation?

I think since Mewtwo and Darkrai have seen two formats that they will be rotated to DRX-on. This being an important set for balancing to rotate to.

Mewtwo and Darkrai have only seen 1 Worlds though...also, even if their respective sets rotate, will the tins make them still legal since they came out after Dragons Exalted did?

Ahh, but by the time rotation will be an issue, Mewtwo and Darkrai will have both had two Worlds. Mean they'll go? Maybe, as it is true that 3 worlds is a title few sets can lay claim to.

My bad. I forgot about this worlds. Haha. Luxray G LvX would of seen 3 if they didn't rotate mid-season because of the BW-on rules iirc.

No we have seen the consequences of not following Japan's rotations, ignoring the wishes of PCL and deciding we know how to run the game better than the people who make it, cause 'MURRIKA

Common wisdom rejects this as most cards live to see 2-3 years, which by the point that Worlds occurs they'll both have been around for less than 2 years. Not to mention that we'd be left with only 4 sets, and that they cut 5 sets total last year. General rule of thumb (for what it's worth) seems to more lean to NDX-on or another year of BW-on, with the former being the most possible (think about the trainers in BCR)

DRX
BCR
PLS
PLF
BW10 (Worlds Set)

That's five last time I checked.

Forgot to count the Worlds set, plus it'd only be 4 prior to the set release, still really low and unlikely from past rotations.

For reference most rotations have about 7 sets (DP-on 2 and MD-on not withstanding)

Mewtwo and darkrai wont get rotated because of the tin promos. But a DRX-on for would rotate out catcher and thats not a bad thing.

Don't take this as fact - Tin Promos won't save them, as they tend to rotate portions of the Promo pool when they do a rotation.

If they go DRX-on, the logical promo rotation is BWP48 (Altaria)-on. Technically BWP47-on works the same way, as Rayquaza EX Promo being in format doesn't change anything.

I can only repeat myself, Dragon-on would be a disaster, I hate catcher as much as the next guy, probably more, but blastoise with no catcher around? No thanks :(

Not to mention the loss of Heavy/Level Ball, most forms of heavy snipe, and a fair amount of trainers.

Except rotating to DRX-On doesn't actually balance things out; it just cuts out some big name cards people have been scapegoating (to different degrees).

There is a problem with how Creatures, Inc. has been approaching game design, at least if you don't like the results of this format. Rotating out older cards matters, but only so much; they have to stop repeating these mistakes with newer cards as well.

My prediction: No rotation this year, at least I hope not. It's probably going to be another 6 months to a year, one we get X and Y. I see no point in rotating cards when the set isn't even finished yet.
