Wii FTW.
Now, don't get me wrong, I somehow get a hold of a PS3 or 360, I ain't complainin'.
There are quite a few things that I'd like to play on all these systems.
However, it seems like the Wii is the only thing with real innovations.
The others are just updated versions of the old model, like buying an 07 dodge when you've just owned a perfectly fine 04.
Remind me to never again amke a car analogy.
Now, don't get me wrong, I somehow get a hold of a PS3 or 360, I ain't complainin'.

omg this is like pitting the '06 15+ world champ against a 7 year old n00b who thinks rs scyther ex is the best card ever. PS3 wins EVERY time. wii is ultimate nerdation IMO. and im god so my opinion is god! trust this game addict. its DS vs PSP all over again. PSP: god of handhelds, DS: still using cartrages! lol

I bet you've never even played a PS3 outside maybe a kiosk. :\ However, countless Wii enthusiasts actually OWN one and have played it. The Wii murders PS3 so hardcore. LOOK AT THESE NUMBERS.lolganium said:

well let's see between the two the Wii. If all three are in this the 360 all the way... Th wii is intresting and new and completlty diffrentt and will prolly do two things
1. Crap out like most things that go outside the box

2. Redifine gaming forever which it seems it already has cause the compeition seems to be copying it...

to be fair, more wii consoles were sold than ps3 consoles because more the wii consoles were cheaper and easier to find in stores.

Wii consoles aren't any easier to find than PS3 consoles. They're sold out as well. The only difference is that the Wii shipments are bigger and more frequent and STILL just as hard to find.smoothoperator said:

you do realise ps3 isn't out in england yet. ps3 isnt realeased on less known parts of earth till at least march. wii is released world wide. ps3 is released in japan and US. wii has sold just over dbl ps3 in like a quarter-third of the world. figures say ps3 will sell more. past experiences say wii will die in a year,same as cube . cant argue with figures mate.
i dont own any of these consoles, but iv done my home. ps3 cost more because its worth more, media GCSE and phy. corses

let me explain the psycology: the wii's initial appeal is the controller. i agree, its apealing, the fact that physical movement is the basic control, instead of the button pressing makes you draw to it. the reason i say it will die out is because once again, the novalty will wear off. the cube: the novalty was size, shape, and disk size. the DS: the novalty was 2 sceens, touch sensdtive and cartridge size. beyond the few people 100% behind nintento, not many people vividly play these consoles, its true.

now the media: as you probably know, media basically means sales. get the media right, get money. the main media of the wii is the controller. something that people fail to realise they see is mario. a legend supporting this console is like a subliminal message. but a more important sales tactic is the random, fancy and futureistic style name, wii. what does it mean you wonder? sounds cool, controller rocks,mario game, I WANT ONE! thats why you like it.

The DS flat out owns the PSP because it's better and has better games. This is hardly disputable. The DS Lite is STILL sold out in Japan. People make hueg lines for it whenever shipments come in! People do not do this for the PSP and Japan is known for it's love of PS2 not Nintendo Gamecube. The DS and its software are constantly on top of the sales charts in Japan.lolganium said:

cutting the psycology crap, lets get to basics, games. ok you've had your wii games now, the decent games: metal gear 4, tekken 6,final fantasy XIII, assasins creed, resistance: fall of man, call of duty 3, fight night round 3, gears of war. these are a handful of games on relese. a quick comparison: metal gear vs mario. metal gear; sneaking shooting action-packed peice of gold! mario; italian dude running and jumping on disturbing shaped creatures around colors from toddler tv. over happy and chessy!

Also, Call of Duty is on the Wii.
Don't forget Nintendo's more "mature" franchises: Metroid and Zelda.
MP3 looks pretty darn good. Wii will be getting the multiplayer goodness that is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.
Wii gets a Mortal Kombat game next year.
No More Heroes looks interesting as well as far as "mature" Wii games go.

EDIT: A lot of the titles you listed are not PS3 exclusives. On the other hand, a lot of the Wii titles I posted are.

You're the only one arguing psychology, and yet you tell us to cut the psychology crap. We're arguing actual sales figures and game releases.
Edit: Oh, and considering that Hideo Kojima actually really likes Nintendo and practically begged to have Snake included in Smash Bros.: Melee (by the time he did, though, it was too late to add a new character), and considering Metal Gear Solid isn't exactly a stranger to Nintendo systems, I wouldn't be surprised if we see some Metal Gear action on the Wii, too, in some form. Probably not MGS4, but surely something.

I'm not sure but I'm pretty positive that the DS even trumps PS2 in the Japanese market. I know DS games are always all over the top charts except when a big PS2 title is released and makes it for a bit. And the PS2 trumps all other consoles in Japan at the moment. Wii and PS3 mostly because of the lack of availability. Though, I expect it to keep outselling the PS3 for a while.
