Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

OREGON City Championships (and one in WA)

Strange, I don't see where I said i'm more anything than this "Ness" character in my post. In fact, I don't even mention him.

You really have no idea how easy you make this for me, do you?

Ah, CyberManetric EX, I wish I had been able to do the second chance qualifier so I could join you two chaps, but, alas. It's very lucky that you passed it, considering one of my Rockets had knocked out of the tournament, it's very cool that you still got to go.

IIRC, you said exactly this:

Apperantly he isn't good enough, or else i'd have heard of him by now, makes sense to me.

And this:

It's hard not to remember me, when there's an entire mall chanting the name of my now notorious entourage. Yes, I must admit, I enjoy the glory.

Now do you remember your own words?

Y'know what? If you think you're so good, then why don't you...

PROVE IT.

Really, we have 2 more Cities, and States coming up. Show us you're good. Prove you aren't the noob you act like.

He doesn't need to Spinach, he's convinced that he'll win by lowering the bar for himself. If he can't win at pokemon, he'll run a rogue deck, go 1-5, beating some newbie pokeparent with a theme deck, and claim that he's the best person in the room because he won a game with something original. Can't fault him for optomism, but people don't always play at the same standards. And you can't insult someone unless they feel insulted about it.

BTW, Spinach, where's my thank you for giving paul the deck that got you a medal?

I noticed you carefully dodged the fact that I pointed out how incredibly wrong you were, Spinich, very clever.

What exactly do you need proof of? What do you need proof for? Why, oh why, would I ever convince myself to waste time proving something to you, or anyone else? Can you explain to me how that benefits me in any way? I have very little to gain from yet another useless follower.

Articjedi, you seem to have even less of a grip on logic. I personally don't care that i've lost games. People lose games. I'm sure I could do better if I just copied someone else, but, that'd make the game boring. Remember, it's a game, and games are meant to be fun. I have fun, and i'm skilled enough at this game to have fun. About a year ago, championship matches pretty much came down to whoever got the luckier draw with their LBS deck, and the concept has never interested me. Either i'll win with originality, or I won't win. One or the other.

Now, I don't want to go beyond the boundries of this little website here, after all, there are rules, and this is a kid's card game, after all, so I have to keep things as friendly as possible. But, to be honest, I don't put too much thought into win/loss records. Some people here seem to obsess over it, as if their wins and losses at Pokemon define a person, or something. Not how it works. I won't say too much more on the subject here, no need to make everyone feel down on themselves, at least right now.

Articjedi, you did say something wise, at least, "you can't insult someone unless they feel insulted about it", which very much applies. A kid like Spinich won't ever manage to graze me with an insult, not only because his are terrible and full of contradictions that blow up in his face, but, for other reasons. I don't care about what people say, or what their opinions are, when they're so far below me. Do you think Donald Trump cares what the hobos living in the shadow of his tower think? No. He doesn't care. He doesn't have to. He doesn't have the time to care, because he's too busy being rich and successful.

The conclusion here? You guys are wasting your time. Accept your fate, meanwhile understanding that as long as i'm here, and you're here, chances are, you'll encounter something I say, and you're just gonna have to live with it, whether you like it or not.

Spinich may have more cities medals than me, but I have more GBA tournament medals, trophies, and prizes than he does. Not only that, I earned them with my own legitimate work, instead of copying someone elses ideas. And, to top it all off, my best medal was won to the thunderous applause of hundreds of people chanting the name of my organization. One could argue that i'm far more successful than him, based on these facts. One COULD argue that, if he/she felt inclined to.

I know the truth, and that's really all I need. There's no need to prove anything to anyone. It's like proving atoms exist to your toaster. Pointless. The toaster doesn't need to know, the toaster will survive not being proven. Of the two of you, you know, and that's really all that matters.

I would say I hope you enjoyed my nice long post, but, I really don't care what you do or feel.

Less grip on logic than spinach? The whole point of my statement was that you didn't care if you lost or not. Then again, you're the one who's proud of yourself because your deoxys deck got 3/3 at a CC. I'm sure there's a few newbies who barely knew the game in that mix of wins. I find that almost sickening. Really makes you feel like you accomplished something by feeding off bad players right?

Anyway, back to breaking the format. I'll make sure to help paul and jeremy with something even more broken this time around. Sorry, I can't make the trip to Corvallis myself, midterms are around this time, so I'm stuck here studying. I guess my buddies will have to do the winning for me =\

Fine. Don't prove it. Just keep losing and acting like the utter noob you are.

No skin off my back.

Thank you.

So you're the one that came up with that Stage2 TecH in Metanite?

I suddenly feel pretty bad for some of the people you just dissed in an attempt to insult me. Lots of well known, very adept Oregon players have fallen to my deck, and you just now basically said they suck for losing against me. You find beating bad players sickening? You realize it's a tournament, right? You realize, that i'm not the one that pairs the games, right? And thus, if i've ever played and beaten somebody new, it was because I had to, not because I openly wanted to. It seems you guys will go pretty far to try and insult someone elses character, but, your fight is futile.

Do you know what I find sickening? People who beat other legitimate players with a deck they didn't create. It's very easy to win when you're running a deck that hundreds of people have already fine-tuned for you. People like me, who've been fine tuning their deck for about year now, lose to those decks, occasionally. My input and thought and work put into my deck may be over a year long, but, it doesn't include the opinions and input of hundreds of players. Those decks are shoe-ins for victory because of facts like those. I find it sickening that people like Spinich will brag like crazy about his cities wins, when he's not using his own deck, and he only triumphed over a room of 30 people, some of which are as you said, newbies and/or bad players.

That's why I'm proud of every victory I attain, because I alone earned them. People not playing under the the philosophies of "having fun" and "winning it for yourself" sicken me. You guys, who'll openly sit and criticize others based on their win/loss record obviously arn't here for the fun. Winning games with decks you didn't make does not equate to a personal victory, but to a victory for whoever made the deck up in the first place. That person, is probably a pretty skilled player and should be rewarded for his ideas. Everyone that copies him, however, should not.

And as for spinich, you seem to have this delusion that I lose at a constant rate. This is untrue. However, if fooling yourself is the only way you can find comfort with yourself, so be it. Some of us have wonderful things like self confidence, hot girlfriends, and stacks of money for comfort. But, to each his own.

about 7 hours.

No skin off my nose either R. So once someone wins at smash bros. using marth combos he found off a youtube vid, you going to talk crap about that because he used combos that "he didn't discover." How about the kid willothewisp+roar with ninetales in gba (I dunno what you gba players use now, I haven't played my silver game in years), you going to say that somehow he's less of a player simply because he won using an idea that he didn't make up himself?

Oh no, I'm not going all-in with my pocket aces while I'm shortstacked, everyone just does that, it's not original.

Hello,
some notes for those coming to the Corvallis CC:

we're meeting at Woodstocks Pizza--good pizza too. For a coupon go to www.woodstocks.com or I'll have extras. There is a Fred Meyer across the street and a large Coffee Culture next door for lunch choices. Matt's Cavalcade of Comics is next door if you need any Pokemon stuff (sleeves and such). We'll have prizes for gameboy tourney--our league likes to divide the kids up into age groups if enough sign up (10 & under and 11+) or at least we like to give out prizes by age groups. We have a lot of Junior players in our league.

See you Saturday!

R visitor, let me just say I have found your posts to be utterly ridiculous and downright annoying. The fallacy of your arguments is clear to anyone. I was gonna stay out of this, but this was the last straw:

I dare you to find a place where hundreds of players (your own words iirc) have collaberated on Metagross DX/Steelix ex.

I'm one of the leading authorities on the deck at the moment. How is it not my own deck when I've put hours of work into perfecting the list and TecHs I use?

You are also falling under the noobish fallacy of: Playing Archetypes is the same as Netdecking.

Cya at States.

How does me saying "LBS Deck" mean anything? Watch my back for what? You're threatening violence over a POKEMON forum? You kids really are a bit too obsessed. It's just a game. You're gonna let what somebody says online drive you up the wall? I've been shrugging you guys off the moment you said something stupid, which was ages ago by now. It apperantly doesn't matter how good I am at this game, considering how well you'll let me get into your heads, i've already won whatever battle was supposedly being waged.

I'm stuck laughing you guys off, still, because pokemon ISN'T serious buisness.
