WEREWOLF XII: Cyrus's Revenge!! ENDGAME Planning for next WW game inside

Absol - What would happen if priest1 was protected by priest2 while priest1 was attempting to protect player3? I ask only to be sure, as it is only logical that both priest's roles would go off, as to have it any other way is a paradox.

It is a paradox because if their roles went off at different times. both would be protected, so there roles wouldn't go off, so they wouldn't be protected so their roles would go off, so they would be protected so that their roles wouldn't go off...ad infinitum.

You can see why it is a logical fallacy to have it any other way, so hopefully you will agree.

This is what I wanted to know. Using up Priest roles on the Priests just seems a little silly if only half protection works.

dmaster out.

After reviewing the last few pages of discussion (sorry, I haven't been on much since my last post) I really am not sure about lynching Diaz. If the circumstances were different, I would change my vote. But it would be a very bad move to not lynch anyone. All it will do is give the wolves a free kill. Will we really have that much more information by Day 2? I don't know for sure, obviously, but I highly doubt it. It simply isn't worth it.

Diaz, I admire that you're using some kind of logic already. But saying something that risky if you're the Priest is a bad move. If you've got a role that benefits the town that much, you're really probably better off keeping a low profile early in the game.
And, well, it's just too convenient for you to turn out to be the priest. Anyone can claim to have a useful role when they're about to die. Out of 37 people, how likely is it that you're one of probably 1-3 Priests?

I'll support lynching someone else, but I'd rather risk losing a priest than waste a lynch. My vote stands.

So… what if I priest someone, and then I can verify that I am a priest by saying who I priested, and having that person confirm my story. Wouldn’t that work?

I guess it would get dicey if I get priested, which might not be all that unlikely.

I feel like keeping around a priest should be a big deal, and I should get a chance to prove my role. It’s a long game(37 players long) and there will be plenty of chances to lynch me if need be.

Let me clarify. I ONLY tell the person they got preisted IF it blocks their role in the process.

'If you protect the seer, I tell the seer he can't use his vision powers.
If you protect a guy who has NO night role, I don't PM him, because his protection would be noted in the update if anything targeted him and he has nothing blocked

That's ASSUMING there is more then once preist.
Based on your situation
Preist2 Protects Preist1 and thus stops Preist1's role from ever working. ONLY Preist2's power works because he stops Preist1's power....

Thats all well and good Absol. However, How do you determine which priest's role goes off first? The problem is, it seems like both priest's roles would go off simultaneously seeing as they are both priest.

I guess you could say the speed of their role would be the same, which would mean their protections would go off simultaneously.

But the real question is, how do you determine which priests role goes off first, as that has immense bearing on the correct play at this time.

This is how I determine it.

You use a role. Does anything stop it? If yes then it's stopped
Nothing stopped the preist that wasn't protected. It's not a matter of when the role goes off. IMO all rolls happen at the same time. Thus the first preist cancels out the second's role by protecting him.

If that makes sense

Ikrit how about this. SHOULD(and it's EXTREMELY UNLIKELY) the situation arise, I'll look at from there. For now you should focus on who to lynch.

However according to this, even if you priest protect someone, they will not know it is you.
Yes, but what are the chances that some other priest protected the same person that I say I priested. If they weren't able to use their ability, and I predict it, its pretty strong evidence that I was the one who did it.

Diaz it sounds like a good idea, except for the fact that someone has to admit they have a role which can be blocked e.g. roleblocker, seer etc. Thus making them a target for the wolves., furthermore how would we know that the person who says they were blocked is not lying, or that you are lying about being the one who blocked them.

Wow, talk about a huge flow. I've been reading everything since after I last posted, and while I don't find Smacktack fishy as much, I think that Diaz is somewhat abrasive, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt for now unless I see something. My vote still stands as undecided.

I just think that it was offly odd that he came out so agressive the way that he did even though according to him that he is the preist.

But he's obviously not noobish. Any player that has read through the threads before, even just observing not playing should be smart enough to not sa something like that.

But PKB, who's to say that he did read through the old threads? I know there are people playing who haven't done that.

Well anyone can claim that they are the preist. I mean I have no issue giving him time to prove something but IDK how he would. but I just DO NOT believe in not voting anyone. thats out only way to get ride of wolfs.

I am formally requesting that a seer look into Diaz during night 1. It will prove once for all whether he is lying or telling the truth.

I read through the second half of the last game. That’s pretty much it. I don’t think I said anywhere, that I had read through a full game. I did mention reading about what happened during the second half of last game iirc.

Its my bad, I should have done more homework before jumping headlong into this game.

The whole seer thing is a bad idea. It would be a waste for the seer to look into me. It would mean that the seer would have to reveal his role on the next day, which isn’t a good thing for the town. By the time the seer could do anything with the info, I’ll either be dead. Or have proven that I’m a priest.

It would also prevent my role from working, right? So that’s not great either.

The seer should probably be looking into big name players that will be around for a while.

I would just like to reemphasize that the town doesn’t lose anything by keeping me around for a while, while I try to prove myself.

Also, If you guys were wondering, the “character” absol put with my role is Sabrina, the gym leader. I guess her psychic powers lend themselves to protecting people. I would assume that he went ahead and gave out gym leader roles to a bunch of people. That probably contributes to the large number of roles (37).

Since I’m the only one to come out with my role so far, I guess I’m the only one who can talk about this openly. Everyone will probably find out about it soon once people start dyeing.
