It's his opinion. There won't be any "official" tier lists for months, and those ones will be wrong. It takes at least a couple of years of substantial tournament time before a tier list that's any accurate will come out. The metagame is hardly developed at this point and quite frankly nobody...

It's quite annoying for characters with short vertical recoveries but massive horizontal ones (IE almost everyone, kthx Brawl). Luigi's just not very popular. He is, however, one of the best characters in Brawl.

Likewise, I'm training myself with just the Wiimote for EB Canada tournaments. It's brutal. Gamecube controller alone is definitely the best.

Considering the Wii barely takes more than the Gamecube to produce, you can't justify telling me that they can't produce more than they are right now. Personally I think that holding back demand is a BS (yet effective) marketing technique.

I play with items off because it makes the game a lot more fun for me. Items do a good job of diluting raw ability and contradict any purpose that choosing characters would have. Considering what I intend to get out of smash is a fighting game, not a party game, I play with items off.

Seriously? The leveling took too long? I've gotta say, that's a new one. You've got no evidence to support your claim that it's possible to be casual and sucessful. The game mitigates that possibility with the extreme limit on resources required for the endgame and the low droprate in general...
