I'm pretty sure you can do that. You have to discard the Pokémon in order to choose an attack, then you use it.

It seems that Energy Root will see almost no play, since almost all of your pokémon are ex, and when attached to Slowking it stops its power. Buffer Piece does the same, but better. I'd remove the 2 Energy Root and add 2 of the things you listed in the end of your first post. 8 looks like a good...

Yep, you can't run this deck without at least 6 Psy. I play 7 in mine actually.

Or simply attach a Crystal and destroy that Mimic guy.

I'g go for Leafeon. It's got a pretty high Attack stat.

A Basic Metal or 2 would be great to be grabbed with Castaway.

You could remove Latias * to add Mew *, because Mew d POP5 doesn't one hit Infernapes. And Mew* is a better starter (and adds to delta draw). So my suggestion is... -Mew d -Latias* +Mew* +Something (could be a Lugia ex if you really want to KO Flygon ex).
