Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Texas State Championship...March 20, 2010

Had a great time...tested out a new deck that held it's own decently (5-2 technically, but was 4-3 officially due to a technicality) so I'm still proud of the way it turned out. I can honestly say 3 of the matches were some of the most intense matches I've ever played. Huge turnarounds, matches coming down to coin flips, huge amounts of ingenuity...even if I didn't get top cut, I still walked away with a new appreciation for my deck and alot of the people I played against. Got to test it against almost every popular deck nowadays (Luxchomp, Flychomp, Cursegar, etc) and stood pretty well against every one of them, even the ones I didn't win.

Look forward to hitting up regionals and see how my deck has grown by that time!

YES!!!! Demarcus won!!!! I lost to the winner!
Very excited for you, Demarcus. In Top 8, I went all out against you, and you knew that, but it just wasn't good enough. Out of 6 months of Pkmn TCG retirement, I didn't expect myself to do what I did.

Write a report man and congratz! :D

Thanks man, My next two matches after that were some of the toughest matches in my life. You gave me a run for my money too. My report is coming later today.

Nah dude, I knew I wasn't going to win against Turbo Phan. It's just too much, especially when you Copycat for 9. lol
I guess I deserved that loss for that Top Cut game in McKinney BR. haha

congrats demarcus. Can you pm your cell phone number? I have lost the number on my cell phone.

BIG GUYS rejoicing all over the world.

Excellent job my friend, I'm very proud of you. We must find a way to celebrate by punishing a buffet when you come to Houston.

Congratulations Dawson and Conner! Big high-fives to the entire top 8 in the Jr. Division. Texas juniors rule!

Many thanks to Professor Birch and our gracious neighbors to the north. This Houston family had a great time and we look forward to next year!

Jeff, Sherri and Ryan Harris

I went 2-4, but it's OK. I did manage to be David Mullan, which was exciting. I'll tweak my deck a bit and be back for Regionals.

Thanks to Ricky, Shannon, Emmanuel, Matthew, Max, Kaelyn, Rick, David, Jacob, Miranda, and Wyeth for making my day as fun as it was.

Were you guys who were judging the top cuts or were playing in the top cut able to get home safely with the snow coming down?

THe way I built it was pretty rogue.

Looks like you made the right changes from when we tested in Oklahoma Sat. Night Live. Way to go. Its going to look wierd seeing your deck in the What won States thread next to all those Sp decks. I can see people looking to buy your list off of ebay so they can do well at Nationals.

Wow... people are going to try and net deck me? Good luck with that. I'm too insane in the membrane to netdeck. By the O_O looks I got when I said I was winning with Donphan, I think that people aren't going t see what I see in there. This win will probably increase the Gyarados play for regionals.
