Go ahead and loose with it if you want to
I think its a brilliant idea personally. Anything could easily go from autoloss against infernape to autowin. Shutting down energy draw, constrain, burning head and fire starter WILL beat infernape in all the forms I know of.
Too bad nobody was playing Flygon that night, hehe.My bro's at a battle road tonight. We'll see how he does vs the Flygon field we've worked so hard to counter.
Getting into OP this season Patriarch helped me out with a pretty competitive Lunarock list. It definitely was/is competitive here, but I consistently went 3-2 with it; since I would normally lose pairings against Flygon ex d, Banette, and Flariados, of which there are/were many.I'm still running Lunasol for at least 2 Battle Roads, I still think Lunasol can be competitive.

Actually, come to think of it -- maybe the Flariados matchup isn't all that bad if you get a good start. I have played at least a few really close games against Flariados with Lunarock. Getting the jump on ariados with all 60 damage possible and a strength charm/pluspower before it can reactive poison seems critical..Hmm...well, I barely lost to Flariados the one time I faceed it (won 1, lost 1, ended up losing the other due to a bad hand)
You must have a really awesome Lunarock list! I must have faced about 4-5 ban matchups in the CCs and only remember winning one. Just too hard to build up a second/third/fourth Lunatone on the bench after getting knocked, especially when saving a Lunatone means sacrificing its attack potential by dumping a Solrock, and also needing a shard to get around Banette's resistance.., and I can usually beat Banette/Houndoom.
Rgon doesn't slap you silly...Flygon ex d does. Rgon relies entirely on cards that aren't hard for Lunatones to ko...Flygon d? Crystal shard. Ray ex d? Just two hit ko for the price of a non-ex. Add in the uselessness of the mew twins, as well as eggs' ineffective status, and you've got a good matchup...unless they get a ridonkulously fast flex.

Well, just got back from my BR using Lunasol. It did quite well, as I made the top 4. The only losses were in the top 4 match, one due to my mistake (forgetting to set out prizes, lol) and then one from a bad hand that I still managed to drag on. The deck it was battling was Flariados btw. So overall, I do believe Lunasol deserves more credit than it is getting. I definately plan on running it at my next BR as well.
nice.. i take it you've teched the lunatone/solrock pair from LM to shut down infernape/delcatty? are you running pluspower and strength charm?
