    please close

This. I mean, there's an outside chance that it could be HGSS-On (if they go with biennial rotations now), in which case no, they won't because there won't be any in the format :P

    Rare Cards?

I'm not an error card expert by any means, but...doing a bit of searching, it appears the "Black Soot" attack is exclusive to this card: http://pokegym.net/gallery/displayimage.php?imageid=35722 So it seems to me that either it's a terrible error that I've personally never heard of...., which...

Will both Ho-Ho and Lugia be catchable in both HG and SS?

    HGSS Prime Foil Bend Problem

Wouldn't be the first time someone has done it. It seems ridiculous, but some people REALLY want to go the extra mile to protect their cards, I guess. Luckily in this game the most expensive playable cards "only" run you about $45 as a ceiling for a reasonable price. If they went for $200...

    Eevee RR

To perhaps make it easier to understand, look at card text. The question of the rulebook doesn't even come up if you just read what the cards say. http://pokegym.net/gallery/displayimage.php?imageid=45500 Okay, there's Eevee RR. Signs of Evolution reads "Search your deck for up to 2 cards...

    2010 Rotations Guessing Thread

Not a firm answer, but I would guess that it falls on the DP side of the series divide. POP9, according to Bulbapedia, came out in early March 09, less than a month after Platinum. So I'd think everything before that would go out with the previous sets, but that might just be the way I see it.

    2010 Rotations Guessing Thread

I'd be interested in seeing a HGSS-On format, but something tells me we'll have to wait another year for that. If they decide to move to 2 year rotation schedule, though, it might be possible. All signs currently would point towards Platinum-On, though. That's where I'd put my money if I had...

    Best Booster Box ever?

I just hope you're not planning on using those in tournaments (assuming Reviving Legends doesn't release here until August)

    2010-3-2 Tyrogue GS 33/123

2/10 There are a few Pokemon out there now with 30HP basics, so it can get the donk, and when it works you can wall...but that's only when it works. It's far too flippy to be reliable, because odds are if it doesn't stay asleep, it's getting knocked out. So 2 points for that (unreliable)...

why running spiritomb in shuppet decks is a terrible idea

Helps you burn through your deck. if you draw into it, play it to the bench, RETIRE, draw a card. if you've got all of your necessary pieces in play you can search one out as well and get a free draw. No use beyond that. Just thinning your deck to get to good stuff that can actually help.

    Help!?!

No Comment =X (except one to make this 17 characters)

    Flychomp

It doesn't appear to me to be a great choice pairing for either one. Both (Flygon Lv. X and Garchomp) need to be active for their bodies to take effect, 'Chomp has free retreat as is (and is colorless), so Rainbow Float doesn't help, both have a Colorless weakness so they don't cover one...

    Slowing things down

To play a slower game you need to impede your opponents progress. Cards like Spiritomb AR and Mr. Mime MT are becoming very commonly used as walls. Spiritomb prevents the playing of trainers while active, and Mr. Mime forces your opponent to either remove him from the active spot (Bright Look...

    HGSS theme deck contents

The theme deck energy do not have the silhouettes, no. Tthose are only available through the packs. I don't think anyone ever said they would come with the silhouette design energy, so no, they weren't "supposed to", either. EDIT: Too slow~

Any pokebodys that can switch any energy type?

If you can effectively run through your deck, Energy Link is an idea. Attach one to Feraligatr, and another to a T-Tar. You can also use another one to move the whole mess of energy onto a fresh T-Tar when one is close to a KO. i don't think there are any Pokebodies that do what you want...

    Exeggutor Deck idea for girlfriend

Rain Dance only works for Water-type Pokemon, though, so it's really out of the question unless you start moving evergy around, and that's probably more trouble than it's worth. Kyogre works, but if you're going to go that route Weavile might be a better choice. Even as a stage 1, at least it...

    no more japanese cards?

Players will not be permitted to use Japanese cards for Premier Events starting with the 2010–2011 tournament season. From the current floor rules. So yes, after Worlds when the new rules come into play, no more Japanese cards in premier events.

    Base Set Theme Deck Tournament?

This. It's expensive, but there are very limited spots so that probably won't be a problem. I can't drop that kind of cash on it (if I can even make it to Nats), but I'm sure it'll be great fun for those who can!

    US Nationals Info Announced

Awesome! Glad we finally have the info. Better late than never ;) Indianapolis is a pretty favorable location for me, too. Been there a couple times, and I think it's a great location to hold US Nats at. Probably the closest place that I could hope for with it not being at Origins. We'll...
