This card is a perfect example of a bad card. It's got decent stats and a very neat ability that trick you into thinking it's a good card, but then in testing you never even take a prize. MTG players learned a while ago that random discard is the weakest form of disruption ever. We'll learn...

It's verryyyy good against pretty much every meta deck.... ...that plays special energy. That's the problem, as you could easily get to top cut with just Drifblim and enhanced hammers, only to run into a deck with only basics and you just have to scoop. Still, a 1-1 tech is good in any deck...

I'd play it with 3-5 Grass energy, and tech in Shaymin EX for the horrible Blastoise matchup.

I would LOVE to play Druddigon/Dusknoir, but Keldeo EX exists. Considering Blastoise/Keldeo will be BDIF, you wouldn't be able to compete against it. Unless of course they only ever draw 1 Keldeo, but that's highly unlikely

I think you're overlooking its status as a BBP that isn't an EX. It's quite good given it's got the highest HP of basic non-EX dragons, it one-shots dragon EX's, and it's a very splashable CCC-attacker Now all that said, in the current meta, it's quite mediocre. Not nearly bad enough to...

I like the idea of an Eeveelutions deck with Vileplume, aggroing Leafeon since its attack also accels energy. Maybe pair it with Lando EX or Sawk BW for fighting coverage as well. Or heck, just run aerodactyl and use that for the fighting cover

Maybe he meant playing 3 pluspowers? :P As for the card, expect it to be the most-played EX of Cities, followed by Mewtwo and Darkrai. In fact, Blastoise can run Mewtwo as well, so you can be pretty certain the deck will be BDIF 9.5/10
