Am I the only one bothered by this

Hey all, I'm the PTO for Nebraska (some of you might remember me as the crazy purple haired guy from Kansas and Iowa States). I've got an idea who's doing this, and I'm working on getting intouch with them right now. I'm appauled by this, and frankly, they'll be lucky if they get out of this...

    'Nother Aipom question

"Poke-Power Snappy Move. Once durring your turn (before your attack), if Aipom is on your Bench, you may draw a card. Then, discard all cards attached to Aipom and put Aipom on the bottom of your deck. You can't use more then 1 Snappy Move Poke-Power each turn." There's the 'may' clause in...

Can I use this as a randomizer for worlds?

Wizards ruled against it... no idea if PUI kept that.

Late entrants a proposal for 2005-2006 season

My view on it, if a player's late for a *good* reason, and they've obviously done everything in their power to get there on time, let 'em play. If it's for some silly "the dog ate my deck registration sheet" reason, then no. I consider myself lucky though... My local players are pretty...

New Pokemon sleeves are very nice

They also didn't ban the art print sleeves, just the reflective backed ones.

New Pokemon sleeves are very nice

It also depends on how rough you are with your sleeves... The only problem I've heard with Ultrapro is that their sleves are too short... which has been fixed. So, if retailers are getting them, we can expect to see them soon... great news. I'm gonna give out a couple sets of sleeves and a...

    White Border

I think they're talking about changing the yellow front border to white, but assuming you knew that I see your point. There's a few magic players here that play their land in one color, and their spells in the other, so they can see if they're going to draw a land or not by looking at the...

    Aquapolis a/b?

Random speculation as to what the EX cards numbers mean: It might be a way for them to track diffrent printers. Or, less likely, they're making a Pokemon TCG Online thing, where you enter in that number to get that card, and each code can only be put in once to the system to get it. On...

    Shifty Shiftry

Try the Supernatural Power Shifty with Deoxys Claydol and Sallly EX and some switches.

No Evo, No Attack, No Service

Great deck. I've been using this since the day Deoxys was released at leauge here as my Unlimited deck. Really, you don't need all those diffrent trainers though. I'm running mine in the classic Haymaker engine, and it's always set up and going turn 2. Rare Candy is a must for this deck as...

    McDonald Promos in the US

McDonalds had packs before those though, that included 3 Pokemon, one holo, and 2 foil energy. Promotions like this would be a GREAT way to draw new, and old, players into the game, and it'd give the core base something fun to collect.

    Question for Larger Events

Very well said Vince. It also comes down to knowing your playerbase well, and being able to read each persons 'guilty face' when dealling with the stalling issue. Like you pointed out, some people just play slower then others, and some peoples turns only take a matter of seconds.

    Base-Challenge Decks

Haymaker, Wigglytuff, and then with Challenge, Sponge. There was also this Trapper deck, and Dark Golbat saw some play too.

    Top Tier Decks

Blaziken is still VERY strong if you run it properly, and adjust it to the current meta, IMHO. There was a lot of Draggy in Iowa, some Rock Lock, and a lot of red face paint. Supprisingly, there was only one Zapdos deck that I know of. I'm gonna say Draggy and Rock Lock are the tier one decks out...

    Interesting little chart...

sdp: And that explains why my tournaments have MUCH higher turnouts in the 11-14 and 15+ age group how? By that logic those should be the two smallest groups, with 10- dwarfing them. To the buisness side of things, this is in our benefit. It shows that Pokemon is still a good source of...

    Modified Format for 2006

The MTG "Classic Series" you're talking about are their Core Sets... they release new rulings and card texts in them, and those sets are ALWAYS made entirely of reprints. Magic also has the Type 1 format, exactaly like our Unlimited, and then they have Extended, woulc would be like Neon Modified...
