Muk is back!!!!! I'm Happy!!!

my favorite card of all these ones they've told us

Pokemon Breeder followed by Bill.

In addition to those these will HAVE to be released since this is a draft set too:
Eevee
Bulbasaur
Gastly

and most likely (what are the chances you'll draft a Breeder?):
Ivysaur
Charmeleon
Dark Wartortle
Kadabra
Haunter

The only problem with fighting is if there is
no Resistance Gym they won't be of much use
against Pokemon that resist (i.e. Crobat,
Zapdos, etc...). [Wink]

Moltres, eh? Wow, Big Fires gets a LOT of ways to win now. Typhlosion 0wnage, Magcargo, maybe Flareon even, Promo Magmar to end it quick, and Moltres to nail the coffin as well.

Gengar/Murkrow Hunters will be nice, and Muk, well, I never thought it would happen, but I guess there aren't too many decks that NEED powers, save for like Slowking or something...

So far, a lot of the cards being revealed are VERY usable in the new format, and maybe even the current format too. Playtesting is gonna be a nightmare with all the decks x_X

There's a new site on the block, it's called Cerulean Caverns. I'm looking for people to send in some articles to get the ball rolling!

Seems to me like there's a ton of new strategies, etc, that shall arise when LC comes out. I can't wait to see what decks show up, there's so many ideas! 'Course there's that one little yellow Pokemon that'll show up just about everywhere:D. DMTM, please bring back Base Dragonair....

hmm... snorlax... i would prefer something like Ninetales or Mime or probably even Hitmonchan.

but Hitmonchan won't be as playable coz of the lack of Resistance Gym, aight. Mime is good anywhere and Ninetales is my ideal power in a Big Fires deck, with Blaine's Arcy (which i didn't really like) out. and since i have 3 Ninetales collecting dust, i'd really like to whip 'em out again.

Snorlax wouldn't really be that useful coz hardly any status pokemon are used (Crobat and few others only).

and another point: if they don't bring the Stage 1s of the Charizards, Blastoises, etc, Breeder would be enough, as trainers can make sort of a comeback with the disappearance of Chaos and the defeat of Slowking by Muk.

that was my 2 cents. don't steal it or anything, it's just 2 cents, nothing more...

To those people whining about Muk being in the set, DON'T WORRY! Again, I say, it's attack is not that great, and its backup would have a power most likely. Sure, Steelix is an idea, but fire should be popular. And then you say, well, it'll stop Fire Recharge. Yeah, it will, but if you have a good deck, you shouldn't HAVE to rely on that to make the deck work. Like Magcargo for instance. You have to discard one energy to do 120 to a Steelix, and 2 if they have 2 Metals. Yippy. I mean, some decks will be hurt badly by this, but there is always a counter. Pichu is a given.

Muk is a force to be reckoned with (look at screen name and see the pun =D), and some people will be screwed over. But it CAN be beaten (no pun here =P).

TB: I pointed out questionable grammar. I never said that Dark Golbat was going to be in the LC, so point that finger elsewhere.

Finding Moltres was good, TB, even if it was rather elementary.

I LOVE powers. I loved DVile & SKing, OK so it is OVER played... BUT I choose to be my opponents nightmare BECAUSE of all their trainers...

BUT one THING I have learned playing trainer Denial decks... MUK is beatable. Mind you I HATE the fact that is in here, but I understand why.

Just keep on Double Gusting that MUK (LOL)... they'll run out of Balloon berries, HAVE to start attaching recycles & energy...

SPECIAL Conditions anyone?

Here is what it says:
quote:
What's New?
They're Back!
In the next set, Legendary Collection, Charizard, Blastoise, Venisaur and all of your all-time favorite Pokemon are on the prowl again in all-new foil versions!

First off, it leads you into a false sense of hope that Blastoise will be making a come back. It doesn't say Dark Blastoise.

Secondly, how do spell the Stage 2 evolution of Bulbasaur? Try Venusaur.

Last of all, I wish there was more information. They could have mentioned the new box toppers or the possiblity of getting two holos in a pack. [Frown]

Meh, so Blastoise isn't going to be released. =\

No need to yell and scream about it-just play the Dark version. Dark Wartortle can help to make short work of turn 2 Stage 2s via Mirror Shell, after all. ;x

I will say it a second time. If you want to have a discussion about what you think should or shouldn't be in the set. Then I started a topic about that.

This topic is for me to tell you what is in the set and answer what questions I can about that.

I have deleted all most of the posts that were off topic. Please take your discussions about what you want and why to that post.

If you have questions about the set this is what this is about.

Thanks for understanding.

Yeah I was thinking that too Dark Ho-Oh. I think they should still print the stage 1's, but make Breeder a rare. That way, in limited at least, the games won't be obliviously fast.
In Constructed however, the rarity of a card won't stop most hardcore players of getting 4 of them. I bet I have 4 from base set, and a couple of friends and I are splitting a box or 2 four ways, where we can all take what we need when we need it. But remember DMTM said this was a set made for drafting. It depends on how they want Limited environment to be.

Ojea, if they don't reprint the stage-1's in the stage-2 evolutions; maybe it will be an uncommon because most stage-1's are uncommon... Charmeleon, dark wartortle, ivysaur, kadabra...

BUT, will these cards look exactly the same as the old ones? So when I get LC-'zard I'll have 3 identical Charizards, except the symbol? I guess WotC will make base set 4 by reprinting Legendary Collection as Card-E... Or will LC be Card-E?
